My husband and I were first time home buyers and very inexperienced with the entire process. Dana was patient and helpful in answering all of our questions and showing us an ample amount of homes. Most of our showings were scheduled on short notice due to the fast pace of the current market with houses being under contract within the first day but this was never an issue for us. Dana was always available and usually contacting us first to let us know something had come on the market within the last few minutes and that we could schedule a showing that day if interested. Sometimes she was able to get us into houses before they were on the market as well. We had quit the experience of being outbid above asking on some homes we loved but she was supportive through the entire experience and stuck with us until we found our house. Some places I needed to walk through again or stand inside trying to visualize for a while and she was always patient with me during these times as well. We were looking in the Hyde Park, Oakley, Mt. Lookout, and Columbia-Tusculum areas and found our new home in Oakley. Dana is very knowledge of the area and well connected with other house related professionals. She asked the right questions to understand what we needed in a home from an accessibility standpoint. And whenever she came across a house that might work, she shared it with us and brought up what we might need to consider changing or adding. She was very helpful and we never felt alone in the process. Now that we're moving in, Dana is still checking in with us to be sure we have what we need.

We met with Dana after listing our house for sale by owner on Zillow and receiving very little interest. Rather than list immediately through her vast array of marketing channels, she advised us to make some improvements in order to better suit potential buyers. After a few weeks, we listed on a Thursday, had an open house on Sunday, and had an offer that Sunday night only a small amount under our asking price. The sale, inspection, and closing all went very smoothly and made a potentially high stress process very easy for our family. I highly recommend working with Dana.

). As a first time home buyer, I appreciated how she went out of her way to explain the process, help us find an inspector and mortgage broker, and offer helpful advice in general. Based on our requirements, she narrowed down our search to homes in a reasonable price range (Fairfax too cheap, Hyde Park too expensive) so we weren't looking at too many houses we had no chance of buying. She helped us realize a home we were initially interested in would not be a great fit in the long run, and we are glad we ended up in the house we bought instead. She even continues to be responsive two weeks after we moved in.

We discussed my criteria for a house and she put together a listing portal the very next day and I was able to have 22 options to chose from and start comparing properties.
